Last updated August 2026. Comfort Cravings is a small home bakery — here's exactly what information we collect from you and how we use it.
Information we collect
We only collect what's needed to fulfill your order or respond to you:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message.
- Custom order form: your name, email, phone number, event date, product type, quantity, flavor/design notes, allergy notes, budget range, and — if you choose pickup or delivery — delivery notes. Inspiration photos are optional.
- Reviews: if you submit a review, we collect your name, star rating, and review text. A review is only shown publicly after we approve it.
Cookies
We use two small, first-party cookies — no third-party tracking or advertising cookies:
- A session cookie that keeps your form submissions secure (prevents cross-site request forgery). It's temporary and expires automatically.
- An allergy-disclaimer acknowledgment cookie, so you're not asked to confirm it on every visit. It lasts one year.
How we use your information
- To review, confirm, and fulfill your custom order.
- To email you about your order — confirmations, status updates, and payment requests.
- To email you a one-time request for a review a few days after your order is completed. Just reply to that email if you'd rather not receive it in the future.
- To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
Payment processing
When payment is requested for an order, you'll receive a secure payment link hosted by Square. We never see or store your card details — Square handles that payment directly.
Third-party services we use
- Square — payment processing (see above).
- Google Calendar — used internally to help us schedule prep and pickup/delivery windows. This is for our own scheduling only, not customer-facing.
- Email delivery — order and review-request emails are sent through our email provider on our behalf.
How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored in a private database that isn't publicly accessible, and is only used by Comfort Cravings to run our small business. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your choices
Want your order information updated or removed? Just reach out and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
Comfort Cravings is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page with a new "last updated" date above.
